PBA is and architecture studio based in Bologna, Italy. The brief of this project was to develop a brochure displaying the main works from the studio.

Since a corporate identity had already been developed, my aim was to keep this project as in-line as possible with the existing image.

This project was developed in cooperation with other designers: Andrea Amato, Alice Baraldi, Guido Bertola, and Francesca Mangiaracina; the copywriting was by Marco Geronimi Stoll.

PER is an important structure in the field of renewable energy. It is both a center of research and a agrotourism resort that collects and displays all the latest technologies and explains to all users the benefits and simplicity of switching to this kind of resource. The Park was recently completed, and hosts a fully–functional passive house, a colza oil powered tractor, various windmills, solar cells and a system to harvest rainwater. It also has a vast area used for farming and breeding animals, a ‘natural theater’.

The visual identity project aimed to create a logo that would be easily conspicuous, very characterized and somewhat playful. It also creates a visual parallelism with one of the most recognizable landmarks in the park, one of the high windmills placed near its entrance, that is symbolized by the orange pictogram: this element becomes a sort of mark when it is used alone in the communication. The font used for this logotype is Titillium, an opensource typeface developed at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Urbino.

This project was developed at Leftloft

Truck is a Pirelli magazine I design working as a freelance with Leftloft, an Italian graphic design company based in Milano (Italy) and in New York City.

The first issue of this 24 pages quarterly magazine actually served as a ‘Issue 0’, meaning that the design still had to be refined in some aspects.

This project was developed at Harta Design

The system I designed with Harta Design for Florence's Civic Museums won the visual identity competition among several studios; it is a modular visual identity where color and typography are used to connect and at the same time characterize each museum’s structure.

The idea was to have a very synthetic graphic language, that would emphasize the name of the single museums standing out in the very dense landscape of a city like Florence. The Museums’ new website has already been produced, as well as the communication for the Bardini Museum.

This project was developed at Auge HQ

Donna Brown uses plants for her designs, and therefore the idea was to develop a “seasonal logo” that can change its colors as the seasons do.

This project was one of the various proposals presented to the client by Auge HQ, the studio I was working for at the moment.

My Master Degree thesis involved the developement of a typographical system to be used in the design and evaluation of fonts for signage.

The result of this research led to Flaminia OS, a very ductile font that can very easily change its shape and structure according to the tests.

Perchéno is an event focused on the diffusion of wine culture among the youth and takes it inspiration from the Milano Design Week.

During that week, indeed, a lot of people, although not involved in the design business, make contact and enjoy this dynamic reality.

This visual representation of a receipe tries to connect the knowledge of an art like cooking and the book of knowledge, the encyclopedia.

Just like every other kind of knowledge, the art of cooking is taught from one generation to the other, and led to improvement by creative minds.

This map shows the production and distribution of wine in the Italian system, analyzing all of the actors and all of the involved issues.

Since the only way to understand a problem is a correct representation, the map was very careful in describing the relations between all of the actors.

About Andrea Bergamini

Mintea.org is, as you may have noticed, the online portfolio of Andrea Bergamini, a graduated (Politecnico di Milano, 2008) graphic designer who is at the moment based in Milano, Italy.

Why Mintea?

About Andrea Bergamini

When I was in Essaouira, Morocco, a berber fisherman told me that mint tea, just like a medicine, can purify your body from all the toxic substances you deal with during the day.

Actually, I am not quite sure that is true, but what I totally agree with is that mint tea is the best drink I ever tasted, hot and fresh at the same time, just like graphic design should be! :)
