Designed at Auge HQ | Logo set in ITC Giovanni by International Typeface CorporationThis mark was designed for the Montepulciano Thermal Resort, in Tuscany, as part of the complete rebranding project of the company. It had to recall the athmosphere of the hills sorrounding Montepulciano and the main element of the thermal resort, water.

Designed as a master degree thesis with the supervision of Stefano Mandato, Luciano Perondi and Luigi FarrautoFlaminia OS is an opensource project started in reaction to the chaotic and poorly designed Italian road signage system. The idea is that tests in real-life conditions are the only way to validate the design of a font for signage and that the final design should always derive by those experiments.

Flaminia OS is a typographical system that allows its users and its future designers to quickly interpolate (through the use of four Multiple Master axes) different variants of the letters according to the test results; by allowing minimal changes of only one variable in the letter shapes, Flaminia also provides a tool to study which are the most relevant factors in the process of reading signs, and can be used free of charge for future researches done in this field.

If you would like to read more about Flaminia OS (Italian only, sorry), or contribute to the project by downloading and developing the typographic system (in Fontlab .vfb format), here is the link to download the full package!

Special thanks to Emilio Merlo, owner of the sign factory Il Segnale in Soncino (BS), Italy

Designed with Guido Bertola, Paolo Rossi and Davide Zucchetti | Text set in Museo Sans and Calluna by exljbris On May 21st, 2011 the Province of Monza and Brianza presented its project to create a network of all museums in the Brianza area.
The aim is to promote those museums and enhance the communication among all of them with a network-oriented approach.
To support this concept, the Province needed a logo that could be related to its existing visual identity, a physical support that could inform about all structures, and an embeddable digital map to help reaching them.

Since the only way to understand a problem is a correct representation, the map was very careful in describing the relations between all of the actors.

Designed at Harta Design | Text set in Arno Pro by Adobe and ITC Officina Sans by International Typeface CorporationThe system we designed for Florence Civic Museums won the visual identity competition among several studios; it is a modular visual identity where color and typography are used to connect and at the same time characterize each museum’s structure.
The synthetic graphic language, emphasizes the name of the single museums standing out in the very dense landscape of a city like Florence. The project, started in 2009, is still ongoing.

Designed with Guido Bertola, Alice Baraldi, Andrea Amato, Francesca Mangiaracina & Marco Geronimi (copywriting) | Logo and text set in Titillium by Campi Visivi
PER (Parco dell'energia Rinnovabile — Park of Renewable energy) is an important structure in the field of renewable energy.
The visual identity project aimed to create a logo that would be conspicuous, very characterized and somewhat playful. It also creates a visual parallelism with one of the landmarks of the park, one of the high windmills placed near its entrance, that is symbolized by the orange pictogram: this element becomes a sort of mark when it is used alone in the communication.
